Adding Cheese Back To Your Diet in Phase 3:Our chef’s do not use cheese in Phase 1 due to the restrictions of the Ideal Protein diet. However, cheese is allowed in Phase 3. Although it adds calories, you can enjoy cheese in a healthy diet by following proper portion control. Our chef’s and food packaging team make sure to follow strict portioning guidelines to keep our phase 3 meals under 550 calories. We also try to add either fats, such as cheese, or healthy carbs, such as sweet potatoes, to a meal. But we don’t add both fats and carbs to a single meal. So, have no fear, enjoy any meal with cheese added knowing we are including proper portions and formulating the recipes to maintain the weight lost in phase 1.
