Potatoes: To eat or not to eat?
The Ideal Protein Steak Bites with potatoes and broccoli is a maintenance meal. It contains potatoes which is a complex carbohydrate and that can be a good thing! Many people may think they should avoid potatoes, however, regular potatoes actually have less carbs than sweet potatoes. Because potatoes contain important nutrients and vitamins, there is definitely a place for them in a healthy diet. Because potatoes digest more quickly than sweet potatoes, they can cause an increase in blood sugar. So if you are pre-diabetic or diabetic you may want to avoid them but if you’re not they are a great choice, in moderation. For this reason, we don’t offer them often but they are a great choice to eat before or after a workout and go great with our Garlic Steak Bites.
Ingredients: sirloin, broccoli, potatoes, mushroom, red bell pepper, chicken broth, garlic, butter, rosemary, Italian seasonings, liquid aminos, red pepper flakes, thyme, oregano, parsley, seasonings.
