Ideal4umeals offers meals made to the exact specifications of the Ideal Protein diet. Phase 1, weight loss, and Phase 3, maintenance meals are offered. Although, not formulated to be Keto meals, all Phase 1 meals are Keto friendly. Some Phase 3 meals are Keto friendly, however many may not be. Only extremely low carb ingredients are allowed on an Ideal Protein diet. Therefore, Phase 1 meals are naturally Keto friendly. You will never find ingredients like sweet potatoes, rice or fruit in any Phase 1 meals. Phase 3 meals, however may contain such ingredients so are not Keto friendly.

Keto is short for ketogenic. The purpose of a Keto diet is to put your body into Ketosis. Ketosis is a metabolic state. When in this state your body will burn fatty acids. When this happens ketones are released resulting in weight loss. The goal of a Keto diet is to deprive your body of carbohydrates so that you burn stored fats instead. In general, the keto diet is a low carb, high fat diet. However, the Ideal Protein diet is similar to a Keto diet in that it is low carb, but it is not a high fat diet. Phase 1 meals include only 2 tsp per oil per day to optimize weight loss. In addition other products allowed on a Keto diet, like milk, cheese and nuts are not allowed in phase 1. Dieters will remain in Phase 1 until all weight loss is achieved.
